Spring time in Butte and Murphy's Law

It seems that spring time in Butte doesn't quite hit until June maybe even July as the storm today has reminded us. In less than twelve hours, we have received at least 18 inches of snow and drifts that are reaching almost three feet tall. The pictures were taken early this afternoon after the power finally came back on - three hours with no power and for us, that also meant no heat! The wind has been blowing non-stop which has accounted for my hot water heater not being able to vent - thus no hot water either. Dishes were done by boiling water and hand washing while a load still sits in the Dishwasher - I didn't quite have enought ambition to pull them out. I'm not quite sure why, but these things always seem to happen on Sunday, at least to me. Perhaps its Heavenly Father's way to keep us safe from traveling down my already terrible road. The storm has had us in severe weather alert all day long and school has actually been cancelled for Alexus tomorrow; almost an unheard of thing in the great state of Montana where anyone can handle any weather. Its too bad they couldn't cancel work and I could still get paid. A girl can still dream. Anyway, I hope that this finds everyone well!

CRAZY! It's always so weird to see current pictures of snow in other places when we don't have any. No fun about the dishes. I definitely wouldn't have survived as a pioneer. Stay safe and give those cute kiddos loves from their auntie!
